Valagro presents innovative solutions for wheat growing in Paris

At the "Wheat's solution" event, the Italian group will illustrate the benefits of two new solutions that contribute to improving germination and increasing wheat proteins

"Wheat's solution", the meeting organised by Valagro, the Italian leader in the production and marketing of fertilisers with low environmental impact, takes place in Paris today. The meeting is part of the European Crop Development Project (ECDP) to launch two innovative solutions, RELEASEED and MEGAFOL Protein, respectively effective in improving seed germination and the protein content of wheat.

The Italian group will present the results of experimental studies and field trials conducted in Europe in order to test the benefits of these solutions for wheat cultivation. In particular, RELEASEED is an innovative biostimulant studied and tested specifically for the tanning of the seeds that, developed through Geapower technology, exploits the effectiveness of a complex of active substances that stimulate the metabolic processes of seeds and the early growth of seedlings. Particularly suitable for industrial crops such as wheat, corn and soybeans, RELEASEED improves the birth and development of shoots, increasing root growth, in particular of lateral roots, and improves nitrogen fixation.
MEGAFOL Protein, on the other hand, is an effective solution for increasing the protein content of wheat, ensuring a high quality harvest when an elevated volume of production is required. In fact, thanks to Geapower technology, a purified concentrate of biologically active substances supports and promotes the natural processes of synthesis and storage of the proteins present in grain.

"The constant development of innovative and effective products for agriculture confirms the commitment of our company in the field of scientific research,” says Giuseppe Natale, Valagro Group CEO. ”These new solutions for wheat cultivation are in accordance with the Group’s philosophy when it comes to aiming to produce more with less and, therefore, to have healthier food available for everyone."

During the event, an important new development will be announced: Samabiol, a company based in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in Provence and part of the Valagro group since 2008, will officially become Valagro France. This step marks the completion of the integration of the French company within the Group: Valagro will continue to invest in the activities of its French branch, which has over 40 years of experience within the production of a wide range of biostimulants, micronutrients and specialties for plant nutrition.

Valagro is constantly engaged in research and development, making use of international collaborations with leading scientific institutions and universities,  investing every year more than 4% of its turnover, for an amount in excess of 4 million euro – a significant investment not only economically but also in terms of innovation and sustainability.
These are thus two fundamental pillars for the company which, thanks to its more than 30 years of experience, has established itself as a leader in the field of biostimulants and chelated micronutrients, refining innovative and effective solutions for agriculture in full respect of human health and the environment.
