Valagro Group changes name of their Indian subsidiary, Valagro BioSciences is born

Valagro affirms its commitment to biologicals through the new company name

Valagro, a leading company in the production and marketing of biostimulants and nutritional specialities, announce that Sri Biotech Laboratories India Limited, the Group's subsidiary in India, will change its name to Valagro BioSciences Ltd.
This represents the last significant milestone in completing the integration of the Indian subsidiary into the Valagro group of companies, further to its acquisition in November 2015.
The choice of the new name Valagro BioSciences Ltd. emphasizes the strategic role the Indian subsidiary plays - and will continue to play - in the development of Biologicals (biostimulants, biofertilisers and biocontrol), based on cutting-edge research activities thanks to the use of advanced technologies such as microbiomes, genomics and fermentation. Thus the new name aligns the Indian subsidiary in a tangible way with Valagro's global strategy to become a leading company in the agricultural nutrition and biologicals, by integrating and delivering advanced products and value-added tech-based services to farmers all over the world.
Luca Fornara, Country Manager Valagro BioSciences Ltd.: "Valagro BioSciences Ltd. is not just a new name: for us it is the crowning achievement of a successful journey which involved complete sharing of long-term business strategies, objectives and practices, based on innovation, sustainability and the central focus on the Customer, achieved by our dedicated team. Valagro BioSciences will contribute to the discovery and development of new biostimulants in our range of sustainable crop solutions including biofertilizers and biopesticides. Valagro BioSciences is already making a significant contribution in strengthening the role of Valagro as a recognized player not only in the Indian sub-continent, where it represents also a strategic logistics and production base, but more broadly in the global agricultural market".
