Valagro BioSciences and the new line of microbials

A tour to present a new generation of innovative and sustainable solutions that include new biostimulants, biofertilisers and the first Valagro products for biocontrol intended for the Indian market

Hyderabad (Telangana, India), 3rd June 2019 - Valagro, a leading company in the production and marketing of biostimulants and specialty nutrients, has successfully completed a tour across India with Valagro Biosciences, the Group's Indian subsidiary, to promote the new line of sustainable solutions based on micro-organisms including new biostimulants, biofertilisers and Valagro-branded biocontrol products for the Indian market. The launch concretely marks the entry into the biologicals sector, a goal achieved thanks to the activity of our Indian research team together with the support of Valagro Headquarter. The production of the first batch of microorganism-based solutions at the Pashamylaram plant therefore represents the achievement of a further objective that has guided Valagro in investing in the Indian market. The distinctive feature of this new line of microorganism-based products can be summarised with the word sustainability. This objective is mainly guaranteed by the improvement of nutrient use efficiency, or the ability of these innovative solutions to limit the loss of nutrients by crops, with the benefit of guaranteeing farmers a more efficient use of valuable resources such as water and soil. The entry into the biologicals sector was announced by the Valagro group as a preview in the Valagro for Future Farming project at the event held in New Delhi last 21st February,2019. Subsequently the launch continued with a tour that went through 6 states namely Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Maharashtra from the 13th to the 17th of May, an initiative that therefore represents the concrete manifestation of the commitment of Valagro and its subsidiary in India to enter the biologicals market, with the offer of a new generation of innovative solutions designed to achieve increasingly sustainable and productive agriculture, in line with the Group's vision.During the meetings, especially for technicians, farmers and local distributors, on the occasion of the launch of the new line, the Valagro Biosciences team, lead by Country Manager Sanjay Kumar Tokala, together with Benoit Genot, Global Marketing Director and David Cambri, Senior Product Manager, illustrated Valagro's distinctive approach that assigns innovation a key role in combining efficiency, productivity and quality to achieve increasingly sustainable agriculture.
