Valagro has joined Biopesticide Industry Alliance (BPIA)

Valagro, a global leader in the production and commercialization of biostimulants and specialty nutrients for use in agricultural production, lawns, gardening and various industrial applications, is now a member of the Biopesticide Industry Alliance (BPIA), the U.S. non-profit organization dedicated to fostering adoption of biopesticide technology through increased awareness about their effectiveness and full range of benefits to a progressive pest management program.

Valagro’s decision to become member of BPIA is related to the acquisition of the company Sri Biotech Laboratories India Limited, an Indian company nationally recognised for its work in developing alternative organic and eco-sustainable solutions for plant nutrition and protection against disease and insect pest attacks on farming crops.

Thanks to the entry of SriBio into the Group, Valagro now  becomes a truly global company operating at 360° in the sector of biologicals., With SriBio, in addition to strengthening their position in India, Valagro gains access to new market segments, such as bio-control, and new technologies, such as fermentation, which will allow the company to develop new products, enhance existing ones and strengthen its role in the world scenario, thus offering customers integrated and increasingly more effective solutions to meet their specific needs.

The membership of Valagro in BPIA also rises from the awareness of the strategic value of the US market and the prominent role of the American biopesticide industry.
