In May 2015, two national industry bodies of Australia - Ausveg (vegetable and potato industry body) and APAL (Apple and Pear industry body) - combined to create the largest horticultural trade show in history, the AUSVEG National Horticulture Convention.
Valagro attended the 2015 edition with a custom made booth to enforce the company's current presence in the Australian horticultural market. Here, Valagro was given the unique opportunity to speak to over 1200 delegates: Gianluca Di Tommaso, Global Head of Crop Management in Valagro, covered Valagro's innovation, its scientific 'omics' approaches and illustrated Valagro’s proactive approach in Europe to improve legislation and regulation on biostimulants.
Valagro was also nominated as a finalist for the National awards for Excellence, which was presented at the convention. The award was Productivity Partner Award - which celebrated companies that had developed new solutions directly benefiting growers through improving their productivity and that had significantly contributed in a positive manner to the Australian vegetable/potato industry.
