The Proteomic and the Phenomic approach.
While the Genomic Approach investigate the interaction between a substance and the plant genome, the Proteomic approach is a method of investigation able to evaluate how a substance or a new special fertilizer prototype, interact with the synthesis of the proteins which are in turn involved into one or more metabolic pathways.
The Phenomic approach is an already existing method used to evaluate in a objective manner the ability of a substance to modify the plant phenoma (e.g. modification of the root or foliar structure, tissues water content, photosynthetic activity, etc.).
Valagro is cooperating with some of the most advanced research facilities and University Institutes to develop and apply the use of the Phenomic approach.
